Conor Oberst, whose new album, Upside Down Mountain, was released last month on Nonesuch Records, stopped by the NPR offices in Washington, DC, while on tour with special guests Dawes, to perform a Tiny Desk Concert. For the intimate set, shot at the desk of All Songs Considered host Bob Boilen, Oberst and Dawes band mates and brothers Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith perform four songs off the new album: "Time Forgot," "Double Life," "Zigzagging Toward the Light," and "Artifact #1."

"Conor Oberst's new album has fast become my favorite of the Bright Eyes singer's solo projects," says Boilen, "so having him come to NPR and perform a few of these songs at the Tiny Desk was especially exciting. The new music on Upside Down Mountain contains the sort of personal songwriting that got me loving him in the first place."
