Shye Ben-Tzur, Jonny Greenwood, and the Rajasthan Express, who are currently touring Latin America as special guests of Radiohead, performing songs from their 2015 album, Junun, have just announced that they will join Radiohead on its North American tour this summer. The tour starts with two sold-out nights at Chicago's United Center on July 6 and 7, followed by four sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City; two nights each in Montreal and Toronto; shows in Detroit, Columbus, Cincinnati, and Pittsburgh; and two nights each in Boston and Philadelphia. See below for all of the dates or visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.
Jonny Greenwood joined Shye Ben Tzur and the Rajasthan Express to record Junun in a makeshift studio inside the 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, India. The album, made with Radiohead's producer Nigel Godrich, comprises Ben Tzur’s compositions, which feature devotional Sufi qawwal musicians who sing in Urdu as well as in his native Hebrew. The Times of London called it "one of the most inspired releases of the year ... Intriguing, sinuous, and essential listening."
To pick up a copy of the album, head to iTunes, Amazon, or the Nonesuch Store, where CD and vinyl orders include a download of the complete album at checkout.
Jonny Greenwood’s score to Paul Thomas Anderson’s new film, Phantom Thread, which was released earlier this year on CD and digitally, is out today in a deluxe double-vinyl package.

Rachael & Vilray are on the latest episode of the PBS series Poetry in America, focused on Frank O'Hara's "Steps," from his Lunch Poems. They join host Elisa New, choreographer Mark Morris, and poets Terrance Hayes, Robert Pinsky, Todd Colby, and Eileen Myles to read and discuss the poem, an ode to New York City art and dance. You can watch the episode, which also features original music cues performed by Vilray and a band, here.
The Staves stopped by the NPR offices in Washington, DC, while on tour to perform a Tiny Desk Concert of four songs from their new album, All Now: the title track, "Fundamental Memory," "I'll Never Leave You Alone," and "So Gracefully." "The Tiny Desk setting perfectly illuminates the power and talent of their voices," says NPR's Kara Frame. You can watch it here.
